Join fans from around the world as we return to Beijing for the Winter Games in 2022. 109 events in seven Olympic winter sports will be held in the three competition zones of central Beijing, Yanquing and Zhangjiakou.
Enjoy your favorite events on snow and ice, including seven new events- women’s monobob, freestyle big air (men’s and women’s) and mixed team events in short track speed skating team relay, ski jumping, freestyle skiing aerials and snowboard cross.
Beijing will host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well as the ice events (curling, ice hockey, skating), reconfiguring some of the iconic venues used during the summer games of 2008. Beijing will also host snow events (snowboard and freestyle skiing big air) at the brand-new Big Air Shougang.
80 km northwest of Beijing and close to stretches of the Great Wall is Yanqing. This zone is will host Alpine Skiing at the National Alpine Skiing Centre and sliding events (bobsleigh, luge and skeleton) at the National Sliding Centre.
Travel to Yanquing from Beijing in 20 mins via the new high-speed railway.
Continuing northwest in the Hebei province is Zhangjiakou.
There you will see snowboard and freestyle skiing events at Genting Snow Park. The newly constructed “Snow Ruyi” will host ski jump and Nordic combined events. X-country skiing and biathlon also take place in this zone. Travel to Zhangjuakou from Beijing in 50 mins via the new high-speed railway.
